About

Daehyun Kim is a graphic artist and art director from Seoul, Korea. Working under the pseudonym, Moonassi, Daehyun creates beautiful black and white drawings that explore emotion, inner dialogue, and the human psyche. Identity is a recurring theme throughout Moonassi’s work, which spans illustration, woodblock printing, sculpture, and new media. Every piece represents an emotion or a word that Daehyun chooses to express through simple characters, encouraging the viewer to pause and consider the weight that a single thought can carry.

Clients

Moonassi currently divides his time between commercial commissions and personal artistic projects. His client list includes The New York Times, Lomography, Planeta de Libros, Maison Kitsuné, Hoeheluft Magazine, Chatelaine Magazine, and Sea Oleena.
